How big do I get?  
I range in length from 32 to 37 cm, my wingspan is 62 to 76 cm.

 

What do I eat?  

Seeds from native trees, berries, fruits, nuts and insects and their larvae 🐛
 

What do I sound like? 

An old creaky gate  (Listen here 🔉)


Where do I sleep?

I love old growth forests, and build my nests in wide hollows of trees 🌳

  • Loss and degradation of breeding and foraging habitat from rural and urban development
